Belgium.... Health Insurance.
Welcome to TCS
We are the insurance carrier of your
European insurance company to the USA. We are open Monday to Thursday of 8h00 AM to 7h00 PM and Friday of 8h00 AM to 6h00 PM.
We are open FOR ERMERGENCY ONLY, 7 days a week, 24/24h.
After your inscription on our web site, and
after checking your benefits with your French, Belgium,... insurance company, you will receive by the post office, a letter of reference plus your (s) ID Card(s).
You can also address your requests for information by email.
Here some general information concerning your medical cover on the United States.
You depend, for the health care, of rules of the Social Security
of your country. (FRENCH,
BELGIUM, GERMAN...... MEDICARE)
So, to find a
physicians or a hospital, you have to go in the network TO HAVE A BETTER
COVERAGE!!
The entire network, which put on paper medium will represent 60 books of 5 kg each one, was placed at your disposal by Travel Care Services on its Internet site.
Therefore, to find an physician or an establishment close to on your home or your work, you must have to go on the Network.
At the time of the appointment, do not forget to specify with the secretariat, that your insurance is affiliated with network XXX (at the time of your research on our Internet site, you will be redirects towards one of the networks, then note the name of the physician as well as the name of the network)
If the doctor or the establishment does not belong to the network, you must pay directly.
But do not forgot that you should be penalize, by
having a deductible up to 30% of the amount of the medical bill!!!
FOR ALL STATES:
Avoid the biological consultations, examinations or the radiological examinations (Scan, MRI, Radios, Ultra sons…) in the hospital (very expensive), and the visits to the ER (higher Waiting very long and costs) except for TRUE EMERCENCY. (Evacuation by Fire Fighter,
car accidents, Heart attack .......).
As soon as you or a member of your family must be hospitalized (surgery, emergency, etc) immediately inform us by dialing the free number 1-888-251-0765, or by addressing an email tcserv@travelcareservices.com to us, so that a ‘Prise en Charge’’, can be request to your insurance.
Be careful, after 18h00 (6.00 PM) only the emergency will be ensured this number.

For Washington, DC:
Avoid
Georgetown University Hosp,
(VERY, VERY, Expensive)
except on emergency TRUE EMERGENCY
For the children up to 15 years, we recommend you Children' S Medical National
For Maryland and Maine:
Avoid
as much as possible all the hospitals of Maryland and Maine
(except for a TRUE
EMERGENCY), because there is a “state regulation” places from there which removes any possibility of negotiation with the hospitals.
For California
San Francisco:
Avoid
California Pacific Medical Center
(VERY, VERY Expensive),
except for a TRUE EMERGENCY.
Los Angeles
Avoid l’UCLA AND AFFILITED
(VERY, VERY Expensive), except for a TRUE
EMERGENCY
General rules
The fact of presenting your ID card’s TCS at the establishments or the doctors, AND condition of going on the network will enable you to realize substantial savings and not to pay on the spot. (Except exceptions, to see related particular conditions has each insurance company).
Only the doctors MD, are recognized by your French Social security, so by your insurance company.
Office Visit
After finding your doctor (general practitioner, specialist…) on the network, and by showing your ID card’s TCS, you have nothing to pay on the spot.
TCS will receive the invoice, and will apply the reduction show on the contract PPO.
You will receive a request for payment then, which it will be necessary for you to pay to Travel Care Service. You have 15 days to pay this request.

Pharmacy and Optics
You pay
directly the pharmacist, the glasses, etc… and you address the invoices directly to your insurance company. TCS is not involved.
For the drugs, (of antibiotic type, anti-inflammatory drug, Syrup….) we advise you to buy generic drugs definitely cheaper. Still, TCS is not involved.
Caution: please keep a copy of your prescription as well as the proof of your payment, necessary for your refund.
Dental Care
TCS does not intervene except FOR a DENTIST OF LIST’S TCS, where a discount of the total charge has being negotiated. (Discount can go up to 50%, in certain cases).
The dentists of list TCS, are present in the following States (not in all the cities): CA, CD., FL, IT, MD, NY, PA, TX, and VA.
We accept now dentist with
Interplan Corp, BUT ONLY IN CALIFORNIA.
Attention, for all the dental care NO ‘PRISE EN CHARGE’ can be delivered by your insurance company. You must advance the funds and to make you refund then, INCLUDING when DENTIST IS FINDS ON TCS’s LIST.
If you must have dental care (crowns, extraction of teeth….), it is desirable in ALL the CASES, to establish an estimate by your dentist, which need to be send it to your insurance company, to know the amount of your refunding.
The difference between the amount pays and the amount refunds can be considerable.
Orthodontist,
Endodental
Likewise for the dentist. Do
ask for a quote and send it to your French, Belgium, … Insurances.
Note: Implants are
not cover.
Physical Therapy
It is not covered on the US territory except after a surgical operation and for a duration limited to 2 months. Except this case only 4 Cessions per YEAR will be granted, and in all the cases you MUST advance the expenses.
Caution: `HOT PADS' will not be covered. (No refunding).
The Chiropractors
Are not cover, because they are not recognized by France
and some Other Country.
Occupation Therapy:
An authorization is necessary for all important physical therapies:
CVA, Loss of limb….
Acupuncturist:
Only
a visit to an acupuncturist MD could be refund.
Psychiatrist:
 Has to be MD
Psychologist:
Are not cover or refunded because a psychologist is not a Medical
Doctor ( MD).
Biological Acts:
For blood analyses, urines…. and after make a copy of your
prescription, IT IS NECESSARY TO TAKE an appointment at Lab Corp of
America or Quest Diagnostic. There are laboratories affiliated to
these two groups nation while.
AVOID THESE SAME EXAMINATIONS IN THE HOSPITALS (Invoices 2 times higher) except if you wish to advance the funds or of course in the event of admission by the first-aid organizations.
Radiological Acts, MRI, ultra sons, Scanner .....
:
You will find either on our short list (sent by email) or on our Internet site, option the network, the list of the approved centers.
AVOID THESE SAME EXAMINATIONS IN THE HOSPITALS (Invoices 2 times higher), except if you wish to advance the funds or of course in the event of admission by the first-aid organizations.
Maternity:
You are pregnant in the USA. You have to respect the French, or
European
legislation.
As soon as your doctor
find you pregnant, send as soon as possible a declaration of
pregnancy to your Insurance company (you have three Months), and do
not forget to call us.
Be careful under the
French Medicare Law you are allowed only 3 ultra-sound per
pregnancies. If more is needed, we need a MEDICAL RAISON.
After
the birth of the child do not forget to send the certificate of
birth to your INSURANCE COMPANY. (You have 1 month).
FIV:
According to
the French Law, you are allowed only four FIV (Life time Max).
Wedding, Death or Any change
in your marital Status:
Let us
know and send all documents to your Insurance Company
REFUND:
Do not forget that the medical costs in
the United States are much higher than in France. The use of the
services and rules of TCS can decrease your co-pay. (Depending
of your Insurance Policy). All requests for refunding must be
addressed to your insurance company. Travel Care Services does
not refund any service charge.
IMPORTANT PRECISION:
The amount of co-pay
depends mainly on four MAJOR elements:
-Doctor in the network or
not
-The contract of your
mutual insurance company
-THE RATE OF EXCHANGE OF
THE EURO.
-The rate of French,
Belgium, German MEDICARE.
